Character Races

Players are allowed to choose amongst many racial choices, from the common human to the Bunny-Girl Viera.
Hume: This is the common race and probably the easiest racial choice. More commonly, they refer to themselves as 'Humans' and avoid the more common term, 'Hume'. While humans are common, their resolve and passion can bring them beyond their peers; the main canon is mainly populated by humans after all. As far as racial abilities go, humans are flexible and can be nearly anything and have radically different abilities; no joke that no two of them are alike.
Cetra: The ancient race known by the humans as the "Children of Gaia" call themselves the Cetra ; ancestors of the Human race on Gaia. This pure blooded race existed before the first Calamity, migrating to Gaia from another planet known as Terra. For many thousands of years, this race cultivated life on Gaia and helped the planet to flourish. But the race that destroyed Terra eventually found their new planet and the Calamity Jenova attempted to rend Gaia as well. Fortunately she was stopped, but most of the Cetran race was tainted or destroyed...
Those in the Capitol were frozen through time, and escaped the destruction and taint by sleeping for two thousand years. In the present, the King and Queen of the Cetra whom were tainted by Vampirism awakened the remainder of their race to reclaim their rightful place as the ruling race on the planet.
For a racial ability the Cetra have an affinity for all materia, especially magic. Their strength and spiritualism is also above average, but the secrets of the lifestream and even communion with the spirit of the planet belongs to the Cetran peoples.
Viera: A humanoid race that are lovingly referred to as "Bunny Girls"...
Their racial ability is an exceptionally high spiritualism and agility.
Mithra: Cat-like humanoids with amazing grace and agility.
The racial ability of the Mithra is exceptionally high agility, balance, and speed.
Firecat: The intelligent talking beast race of Gaia, Firecats look like large cats or lions with a plume of flame at the tip of their tails.
Firecats have the racial ability of exceptional intelligence, strength, and speed.
